Benefit's They're Real Push-Up Liner and Remover

If you've read my blog before you'll know that for the past year I have been working for Benefit Cosmetics in York as a Benebabe. Sadly I have recently just left the Benefit world because I was offered a full time position at my other part time job. Just before I left however, I was sent to Benefit's Criminal Lorry, that you might have seen around the country on the build up to the launch date of the They're Real Push Up Liner. We were sent for some very important, top secret training on the latest additions to the They're Real collection. You'll have had to have been hiding under a rock for the past few weeks if you've not seen anything about the new Liner because Benefit have been putting in so much effort for their biggest launch of the year!

So the eyeliner differs form ordinary liners for a number of reasons. Firstly it is a gel formula but in a pen which is so much easier to apply because you're not having to fiddle around with pots and brushes. It is a matt black as opposed to a glossy finish so it looks a lot more natural on your eyes. It has an accuflex tip which basically means that because it has a flexible tip you can get the liner really close to your lash line. Another difference is that because you twist the base of the pen to 'push-up' the product you can really control how much comes out to create a neater finish. The final difference is that the product will only dry out in the tip and you can then expel the dried product with one full twist which ensures that the rest of the formula is protected, unlike other gel liner products where I found they would dry out very quickly.
What it says on the box:
"beyond easy to get bigger and sexier eyes. It's the first ever lash-hugging gel liner pen! The custom Accflex tip hugs your lashline for bigger-looking eyes in seconds. The closer the line, the bigger the eye!"

Not only have Benefit bought out a brand spanking new liner which is to change the way in which us liner addicts will apply our cats eyes, they have brought out an additional product which is the They're Real Remover. If you've used the They're real mascara in the past I'm sure that you'll be well aware that it is a bugger to get off! Which can be a bit of a pain, especially if you're going to bed late or are really tired because I know I hate standing there for half an hour trying to scrub away to get my mascara off! The new Remover really speeds up the night time process, especially if I've been wearing the liner too! It's great because you only need a very small amount and the idea is that you massage it around the eye area until all of the product has lifted away and then you just wipe it off with a damp cotton pad. It's so easy and simple and really light and gentle on the eye area.
What it says on the box:
"They're Real Remover lifts away even longwearing and waterproof mascara and eyeliner. The creamy gel formula is gentle yet powerful, dissolving makeup without tugging the delicate eye area. Skin feels soft, smooth and clean beyond belief! Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. To Use: saturate a cotton pad and gently wipe away eye makeup. Rinse off."

I honestly would have bought these products if I hadn't already been given them from Benefit because the liner glides on so well and is really long wearing and I really needed a new makeup remover to save me from the woes of taking off mascara. The liner is slightly on the pricy side costing £18.50 and the remover is £14.50, but as far as Benefit prices go, I'd say this seems fairly reasonable. Plus if you head to Boots before 14th July there is an offer if you buy any two They're Real products (the liner, remover or mascara) you'll get £7.50 put on to your Boots advantage card!
