Glossy Box | October 2014

Boy is this months Glossy Box is a treat! Every product is right up my street and I know I will use each and everyone. I was so happy when I pulled apart the packaging, because as you will know if you have read any of my recent Glossy Box Posts, I have been rather disappointed of late. I didn't receive one of the little leaflets in this months box, the one that explains what each product is for, how much they would be full price, weather or not they are full size and inks from their original source, so bare with me, apologies if I get anything wrong!

Firstly, I just need to comment on the packaging! This October, Glossy Box decided to release a Pop Art Edition which again was perfect in my eyes. Don't get me wrong, I love their usual pastel and pale pink boxes which come across as very sophisticated and high end, however I absolutely love the bright and bold colours used on this months box. The outer packaging was hot pink with white polka dots and the box itself had a bold blue bottom with again a hot pink colour lid with an Andy Warhol type image of a girl applying makeup. I already store my nail polishes in a Glossy box but I think I will transfer them into this one because it is so bright and colourful.

So, on to the products themselves.

Nuxe Paris | Masque Crème Fraiche De Beaute | Full Size 50ml £19.50 | Link

I have never tried a Nuxe Paris product before so I was quite intrigued and when I ventured on to the website to have a nosey was pleasantly surprised at how much of a luxury item this really is. I have been wanting to buy face masque in a bigger size, rather than just using those sachets all of the time because it can become quite expensive! Since I have been incorporating face masques more and more into my skin care routine this full sized Masque Crème Fraiche De Beaute couldn't have arrived at a more perfect time. Least to say, I am very excited to crack open and try this bad boy.

So Susan | Flutter Mascara | Full Size £14.95 | Link

This So Susan Flutter Mascara was my second full sized product in this month's glossy box. I have only tried one other So Susan product which was a quadruple concealer palette that I took away with me on holiday. I was so impressed with the quality and wear of it that I have high hopes for the mascara. It is "an intense carbon-black mascara formulated with hyaluronic spheres to help you achieve the darkest, curviest lashes possible" which is a huge plus for me as I love to create very dark thick looking lashes.  I have only just opened my current mascara but based on the shape of the brush and consistency of the formula I am sure this will be a winner in my eyes as well.

Rimmel London | BB Cream Light | Full Size £6.99 | Link

I love using a BB cream, especially as a foundation alternative for when I am at work. This one in particular by Rimmel is supposed to tackle eight different aspects all at once! It supposedly: "minimises the appearance of pores, mattifies and controls shine all day, smoothes and soothes skin, conceals dark circles and helps prevent blemishes." Not bad for one little product. I have to say, I was quite sceptical when I first heard about this product and have never bothered to give it a try. However I have given this little 8ml sample a go and I was very impressed. I was really light on my skin but covered up most blemishes, (I teamed it up with my fail-safe Erase Paste by Benefit) and lasted all day. It blended really nicely into my natural skin tone and felt lovely and hydrating. I think I will definitely be purchasing a full size one of these.

Ciate | Talent Scout | Full Size £9 | Link

What a treat, yet another full sized product! I love Ciate as a brand, they seem to hit the nail on head when it comes to nail varnishes. They are so long wearing, chip resistant, if you're in a hurry one coat will do the job until you have time for another, the lid is lovely and long which is great to hold and eases application, the brush itself has lovely long bristles, again aiding in easy application, need I go on?! Basically, I cannot fault this brand and I especially love this deep but bright purple colour. Great for Autumn and will be fitting come Christmas time with a side of sliver and glitter. I love it!

Etre Belle | Liplift Peel | Full Size £12.95 | Link

Ok, so glossy box were really treating me this month as this is a fourth full size product!! I have never tried the brand Etre Belle and I have never tried a Liplift Peel so this really was a new experience for me. I have to say, when I first opened my box and saw this I wasn't completely convinced. However, after giving it a go I have changed my mind on this product. I do actually suffer with quite dry lips so you will never find me without a lip balm of some sort. I hadn't ever thought about using a lip exfoliator before though, but I guess it makes sense, if you want nice smooth skin you exfoliate and moisturise, so why not do the same for you lips? It is a bit of a weird sensation, and it is sooo difficult to not lick your lips whilst doing it, but after rubbing a small amount of the product between your lips, rinse it off with water and apply some lip balm it honestly feels so nice!

Yves Rocher | Quelques Notes d'Amour L'Eau de Pafum | Various Prices and Sizes | Link

I love perfume and so these little samples are so good to get, I keep all of mine in a little box so that I can pick one out when I want to pop one in my handbag, or if I'm going away for the weekend or jetting off somewhere on holiday. These are always a little winner in my opinion!

What did you get in your October Glossybox? What do you think of the products I received?
