Pamper Nights With Summer Nails

Painting my nails has become a part of my Sunday night routine, I find it a nice way to prepare for the week by having a mini mani...

THE PREPERATION

I usually like to use nail varnish remover on my nails, weather or not I already have nail varnish on. I find that it really cleans the nails, taking away any remains of previous polish and make sure that the new coat of colour is going on a cleanse nail. I then like to use a hand scrub to give my mints a bit of a pamper and get rid of all dry skin. Then I am ready to shape my nails, making sure that each one is nice and even, before washing my hands with warm soapy water, ready to pop on some colour.

THE NAIL VARNISH

I have really been loving a couple of polishes from Barry M of late. I picked up two shades a few weeks ago from Boots, as they had an offer of buy one get one half price on Barry M nail varnish. The lavender colour was from their Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Prickly Pear.

The baby pink nail varnish was from the Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in In A Heart Beat. I love these soft pastel colours and I think that they are really nice colours for summer. Although I am aware that summer is now drawing to a close and I will soon have to put these shades away until spring 2016, I want to cling on to the last remains of the warmer weather and lighter evenings.

FINISHING TOUCHES

Once I have applied the number of required coats of polish, I like to apply some form of top coat to give it all a nice even finish.

What nail varnish have you been loving of late?
