Monthly Favourites | September 2016

Every time I sit down to write about my monthly favourites, I can never get over how quickly the last four weeks have gone. September was a pretty busy month for me, heading to London for the first weekend of the month for the Bloggers Festival and to visit friends, going away to the Lake District for a week and generally being a little busier in my social life than usual. I am looking forward to October as it is now starting to feel like Autumn with the slightly darker nights and cooler weather. I'm getting excited to watch the leaves start to change and to pull out my wooly jumpers and ankle boots over the next few weeks.

Beauty wise, I kept things pretty simple during September and my monthly favourites definitely reflect this. During the evenings my make up tends to be a little heavier anyway, but most days thought out September I applied the Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint as my base of choice. It is so light-weight on the skin with a very natural finish which was perfect for the lovely warm September that we have just had. In keeping with the very natural look that I seemed to have adopted throughout September I applied Benefit's Hoola Bronzer daily to add colour and definition to my face. This matte, natural finish worked perfectly with the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Sweet which provides a very natural flush of colour with a little shimmer of gold on my cheeks. To finish the look the Benefit Posie-Balm very rarely left my lips. This ultra hydrating, slightly tinted balm is fantastic at keeping the lips looking plump and healthy.

Another September favourite of mine has been the Clarins Cleansing Milk. I have been using this cleanser pretty much everyday over the last few weeks, and it is brilliant at taking of make up, easily and effectively without dragging and feeling as though I'm really rubbing it off. It also leaves my skin feeling really fresh and soft. I have really gone back to basics when it comes to a daily perfume. On a evening I will opt for more of a high-end scent but for work and weekends I have been using the So...? Kiss Me Eau De Toilette. It is a really simple and fresh scent that is just so easy to wear.

I hope you have had a lovely September, what were your monthly favourites?
Have you got anything exciting planned for October?
