Po House Chapel & Visiting The Lake District

Last week, the boy and I took a well deserved, relaxing break to the depths of the Lake District for seven nights and stayed in the most beautifully converted Chapel; Po House. We knew that we had a lot on for 2016 and so we decided pretty early on in the year that we were going to have a holiday in England and explore some of our own countryside, rather than visit somewhere abroad. We were recommended to look on Cottages 4 You, a wonderfully easy search engine to find places to stay in the United Kingdom, France and Italy. We knew that we wanted to head over towards the Lake District and soon stumble upon this amazing deal the lovely owners of Po House Chapel

Time To Relax

We both had a lovely time at the Chapel and I think that it was a perfect place to stay for a week of pure relaxation. I understand that this isn't necessarily a holiday preference for everyone but we wanted a week to get away from the chaos of everyday life and to spend some quality time together. I would really recommend this place to a couple as somewhere to stay for a cheap getaway. I think that it would be so lovely to visit in late Autumn or Winter, to get full use of the fire and cosy up with hot chocolates and enticing books.

Have you ever visited the Lake District?
