Christmas Party OOTN & FOTN

Friday night was my work’s Christmas Party. We had a lovely time, although I think I may have had a little too much to drink going on how I felt for most of Saturday!

I bought a dress to wear for my Twenty-Fifth birthday night out, and although it wasn’t festive, I decided to wear it on Friday. The dress is from New Look and it is a very flattering skater style, which gathers at the waist and flares out to just above my knees. There is a simple zip going up the back and the front is cut low with a black piece of netting going across the bust. I like that it is very flattering but I don’t feel too exposed with my fairly large lady lumps!

With the flower print of the dress being quite busy, I wanted to keep my accessories very simple and neutral. I paired the dress with some New Look nude pink court shoes that are fairly simple and a plain silver clutch that I bought from Primark years and years ago.

When it came to my make up I kept things fairly natural focusing on my eyes. For my base I used Nars Sheer Glow Foundation along with Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer and Maybelline Under Eye Concealer. I then applied some Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Powder and Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer to add colour and definition.

For my eyes I applied a mixture of shades from the Urban Decay Alice Through The Looking Glass Eye Shadow palette. I then applied a very generous layer of Benefit’s Push Up Liner along the top of my lash line, opting for a pretty impressive wing. After lashings of Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara I was ready to apply my lipstick. I chose Mac’s Brave as I wanted a fairly neutral lip, and lined it with Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk Lip Liner. To finish the look I applied Charlotte Tilbury’s Sweet Stiletto Lip Gloss to add a little extra glamour.

Have you got a Christmas Party planned?
What are you going to wear?
