What I Got For Christmas & My Boxing Day Sale Picks 2016

I love finding out what people go for Christmas. Not only am I really nosey, but it also provides me with inspiration for beauty, fashion and homeware. I thought that it would be fun to put together a post to show you a few bits and bobs that I got from family and friends this year.

Beauty

My brother treated me to this year’s Soap & Glory Gift Set; The Whole Glam Lot. I love the Soap & Glory gift sets that come out every year with a tone of their best sellers inside. I can’t wait to get stuck into this, and I love the re-usable tin that they came in this year, which is perfect for storing make up bits and bobs. I was also lucky enough to get the Real Techniques Mega Brush Set. This was a bargain as it was reduced to £40 as one of Boots’ star gifts on the build up to Christmas. I can’t wait to replace all of my old brushes with this brand new set that includes base, eye and finishing brushes as well as a few beauty blenders.

I also received the Molton Brown Body Wash Bauble with their limited edition festive elderflower scent, which is so pretty and sparkly. Snow Fairy from Lush is one of my favourite scents and I was so excited to open this year’s Snow Fairy Gift Set that includes some body wash and some Snow Fairy Fun. I can’t wait to have a bath with all of these festive products.

Moving on from beauty, I also received some beautiful homeware gifts including this White Company Four Seasons Candles. In this gift sent there are four candles, each named and inspired by one of the seasons with the idea that you can bring out a new scented candle at the beginning of each season. I love White Company candles and these will look and smell so pretty in my living room.
Being the big harry Potter fan that I am, I undoubtedly received some Harry potter themed gifts such as this travel Trivia Games set, which was very fun to play on Christmas day after a drink or two, as well as this amazing Harry Potter Dumbledore quote sign. James lovingly made this for me and I nearly cried when I opened it. I love it so much and I still can’t believe that he made it for me. Be sure to check out his Instagram page for more products.

One of my favourite presents this year was this beautiful Little Miss Blogger Mug that I am so excited to use. It was such a lovely gift from James! Speaking of lovely gifts from James, besides the beautiful gifts already mentioned James massively surprised me with year with a trip to Prague! He was so lovely and thoughtful, sending me on a treasure hunt Christmas Day morning that led me to a USB stick. On this was a file, which was a video of James talking me through his thought process as to what to buy me for Christmas. He had been in touch with two if my really good friends that live in London and between them they organised a trip away. We are flying out for five nights at the end of March and I am so excited!

Boxing Day Sales

As well as getting some amazingly thoughtful and lovely Christmas presents, I nipped out in to town on Tuesday to have a quick scot of the Boxing Day sales. I only ended up getting a few things from Space NK and Lush as everywhere was packed and I couldn’t be bothered with the hustle and bustle.

I am a huge lover of the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel and I had been lusting over their cute little cracker gift set in Space NK that was a miniature version of the 100ml bottle. I thought that this would be perfect for travel and overnight stays and I was so happy to find that they not only had some left, but that they were also half price! Another Oskia purchase was the Renaissance skincare pack. This pack was a steal away as it included a full sized Cleansing gel, as well as a full sized Renaissance face mask and hand cream. This was reduced to just £43 which may sound like a lot, but when the Cleansing Gel is £29.50 on it’s own I think it is such a good saving.

I also bought some goodies from the Lush sale, however I was disappointed to find that there wasn’t a huge range of products left. I picked up a couple of the Teddy Moisture bath bombs and some Sleepy body lotion, designed to help you relax before bed.  Although it wasn’t a huge haul, I got plenty for Christmas this year and I didn’t really need anymore than what I got…
