A Lifestyle Post | Day Trip To Whitby
I love going out for a day trip when I have a day off work. It feels like an actual break away when I leave York and head out some where different to have a change of scenery. The boy and I decided to head over to Whitby Bay which is only about a fifty minute drive away from where we live. It is such a cute sea-side village with lots of quaint little tea rooms and independent businesses dotted in and around the streets by the bay. It was typical 'English beach weather', it looked bright and sunny but it was bloody cold with a strong wind and the constant threat that it was going to rain, but we had a lovely time regardless.
I opted for a sailor blue and white striped top with a peter-pan collar to fit with the whole beach theme.
Of course we had to have a play in the arcades on the 2p machines.
I 'won' a very fetching scull key-ring with diamanté eyes - classy!
We popped in to a lovely little soap shop which was so cute and I bought a couple of bath bombs.
Then we went into lovely little café called Jane's Kitchen which was such good value for money.
These scones were amazing, I wish I could eat them again right now!
We walked up 199 steps up to the Abby to look down across the bay
This is the pier that we walked down when we first arrived at Whitby
I love snowdrops so much, I think they look so cute and spring-like
A bit on an OOTD
