Photo Diary | BBC Radio 2 Car Fest
Last week me and the boy had a
drive down to Cheshire. It was Radio 2’s CarFest Weekend that was organised and
hosted by Presenter Chris Evans. The boy’s band Everlate were headlining the
WigWam tent which was a bit of an unsigned/introducing acts stage, and they were all given some plus
one tickets. The whole event is
organised to raise money for Children In Need which is a British charity that holds an annual fundraiser to give money to Children that really need help. It has turned into a huge organisation which is created by lots of different events, one of which is Car Fest.
It was a lovely warm day and we all had an amazing time with great food and a few cheeky fruity ciders. The live music was incredible, Sea Sick Steve being the highlight for me. With it being called Car Fest, as I'm sure you can imagine, there where quite a few car based shows and events. There was a huge range of car stalls from Ferrari to Mercedes.
Even the floral decorations were car themed...
Some cool and quirky food stalls...
Had some amazing Japanese noodles for tea
Because we were with the boys we were all given backstage wristbands that meant we could go to the artist's bar.

The carnival looked beautiful and very picturesque once the sun went down
We ended up leaving a little early because we were staying at a friends house and had to get up early the next day as we were heading over for a weeks holiday in Wales. I had such a lovely time at Car Fest and would really recommend it as a festival for families as there was lots to do and it was really well catered for all ages.
Are you going to any festivals this summer?
