Benefit Cosmetics | Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow | Full Review
When you find that one foundation
that you keep coming back to, time and time again…
I first bought Benefit’s Hello
Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation when I first started my third year of university
which was about three years ago. I had always been a big fan of Benefit
cosmetics and was a huge lover of High-beam highlighter and Big Beautiful Eyes
eye shadow pallet. I had been given some money for my birthday and I decided to
take the plunge and purchase one of their foundations. I sat down at the
counter and the girl applied Hello Flawless in the shade Ivory 2 and I
instantly fell in love. Fast forward three years and I have just opened my
fourth bottle of the stuff and I can honestly say that it is my most favourite
foundation. I think it’s funny that I have been writing my blog for just over a
year now and a part form the odd Monthly Favourites or Best Of posts, I have
never done a full review of my most loved base product.
APPLICATION
Hello Flawless is a light to medium
coverage, but it is buildable. I usually use one pump for during the day, then
maybe a pump and a half if I am doing a fuller face of makeup. It is really
nice and light on the skin which also feels really hydrating. I apply the
product with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush which provides a nice even
finish, and it is very easy to blend with other products such as concealer or
cream blushers.
THE FINISH
I feel as though it really lets
your skin breath and for me, it feels as though I don’t have any makeup on, a ‘my skin but better’ product. It leaves
a very dewy and hydrating finish to the face without looking shiny or too much.
It has an SPF of 25 which is amazing for a foundation. I am a strong believer
in looking after my skin now, to protect it for when I am older. My mum has
always told me to look after my skin, moisturise and wear SPF, even during the
British summer months, as it will prevent wrinkles.
THE LONGEVITY
I do find that in the afternoon I
usually have to apply a little bit of translucent powder on my T-Zone, but I
feel as though this is more to do with my skin type, rather than the product itself.
This is to say that the foundation, as a base, is extremely long-lasting and
will keep my skin looking fresh and flawless all day.
What is your ultimate base product?
