August has been a pretty busy month for me, so much seems to have happened in the space of just four weeks. At the start of the month I went  to BBC Radio2's Car Fest, had a Trip To Shrewsbury and then had a Holiday In Wales for a week. A week later I handed my notice in at The National Trust and started my new job working for a solicitors in town. In amongst all of this I have had some lovely family days and meals out with friends. I thought I would break away therefore from my usual monthly favourites of picking out which beauty products I have been enjoying over the past few weeks, and focus more on 'lifestyle' related favourites. So, without any more ramblings, here are my August monthly Favourites.

I am a huge lover of Neflix and have recently joined the PLL club. I was initially put off watching the show, however a friend of mine said that I needed to give it a chance. I just thought that it was going to be another teenage drama which I couldn't be bothered with. However, I really do have to eat my words as I have become obsessed with this show! It is extremely fast-paced with a great storyline and I can't stop watching it!

I have been a member of a local book club for just over a  year now. If you are a regular reader of MadolynThinks then you'll have probably read reviews of some of the books that I have read through book club. I am a huge history lover and historical fiction is one of my favourite genres to read. The book club I belong to is a history and cake lovers, ladies book club. It is a brilliant focus point not only because you sort of know what to expect from each read, but also because everyone in the club is drawn together through their love of reading and of history. The reason why it is in my August Monthly Favourites is because I feel as though the books we have been reading lately have really been on point. You can read a review of our August book here, which I really enjoyed, and I can't wait to read September's book!

As I have already said, I have started a new job this month which has been an absolute whirl-wind! Within just two weeks I had applied for the job, got an interview, was offered the job and worked my notice period with the National Trust. Although I loved my old job, I knew that it was time for a change and I wanted to start working towards something. Although I have only just started, I am really enjoying myself so far and hope that it will open up a few more doors for me.

The final thing that I have been loving this past month is my blog. For those of you with a keen eye, you'll have seen that my blog title has changed over the last week. I feel as though I have been putting in a little bit of extra effort with my blog lately and I felt as though it was moving on to the next step. Although I am still small in numbers, I have quite a few blog related, exciting things coming up and thought that it was due a little re-vamp. Although the layout remains the same, I was never too convinced with the title 'Simple Pleasures' and wanted something that was a little more personal. MadolynThinks came to me when I was lying awake one  night and I thought it had quite a nice little ring to it.
What have you been loving this past month?
