I have been wanting to try the latest product to hit the lipstick market that is liquid lipsticks for quite a while now. After a trip to the Mac Cosmetics stall in town last week I couldn't help myself and picked up this perfect Spring time shade; Personal Statement.
Mac Cosmetics are well known across the beauty world for their lipsticks and so this new Retro Matte Liquid Lip Colour range was guaranteed to be a hit. This style of lip product is available in fifteen different colours and I opted for this beautiful baby pink which is a fantastic colour for this time of year. They also offer some pretty nudes, reds and purples as well as a few more pink-y shades.

As the name suggests these lipsticks do have a matte finish. Although a little drying, I have found that applying a small amount of lip balm before hand provides the right amount of moisture for me, but I do have quite dry lips anyway. Once applied the product dries almost instantly which means that it has great lasting power. I applied this to my lips before work and after eating my lunch and drinking a couple of cups of tea it was still on my lips as much as before!

I am a huge fan of Mac packaging, much like Nars, I love the sleek black casing and the way that all of the products look so slick. This lipstick is a similar shape to their other lipsticks however it is a little taller and you can see the colour of the product as it has a clear casing at the bottom. It has a doe-foot applicator in the lid which makes applying the product so easy. I love that it is a liquid product that is so easy to apply which then dries, creating a perfect lip. At £21 they are a little more expensive than your average Mac lipstick, however for a high-end beauty buy it is still on the cheaper side of lip products. When considering the lasting power and feel of the product however, I think it is worth its money.
