Career Of Evil is the third Cormoron Strike book written by Robert Galbraith. I fell in love with the first novel in the series, The Cuckoo's Calling, when I took it on holiday with me a few years ago. Last year I read the second in the series, The Silkworm which was just as gripping as the first. It was therefore safe to assume that I was pretty excited when the third was published.

This series of books follows the story of a private detective, Cormoron Strike and his receptionist come partner in crime, Robin Ellacott. The novels are all very well written with many twists and turns that keep you guessing right until the end of the books. These detective, thriller books aren't for the faint hearted as there are some pretty gruesome and psychopathic themes that run throughout the novels.

In The Career of Evil, Robin is sent a woman's leg, and as Strike can think of at least four people from his past that may be capable of such an act, both himself and Robin take it upon themselves to find out who has done it. There are many different elements and dimensions to this story as both of the main characters also face trials and tribulations within their professional and personal lives. I literally couldn't put this book down, much like the previous two, and would strongly recommend them to anyone searching for a gripping book series.

Have you ever read any of the Cormoron Strike Books?
