One of my favourite things about the festive season is buying and decorating our Christmas tree. If you saw my Vlogmas Day Ten video on my YouTube channel then you will know that we picked up an absolute bargain of a Christmas tree! After visiting a number of shops we found a 6ft tree in B&Q for just £12!!! I am so chuffed with this and it looks perfect in our little living room.

Once we had decided where we wanted it, we started on decorating it with our lovely decorations we have collected over the years. I feel like we have a lovely foundation of Christmas decorations but I love to buy a couple of new ones every year to add to our stash and keep the tree lovely and personal.

I picked up a few different decorations this year to add to our very simple silver and metallic colour theme that we have going on. I fell in love with these pretty alphabet decorations from Oliver Bonas. Obviously I picked out an M and a J for Maddy and James and I love the simplicity of them. I think they look so cute at the top of our tree!

I also got a few individual decorations from the White Company when I went to their Christmas open evening a few weeks ago with my mum. Be sure to have a read of my post; Christmas With The White Company. I love the little heart, star and bauble, which are so pretty and again simple which I think oozes elegance and class whilst remaining relatively festive. These were just £4 each but they often have 20% off deals and I am hopping that some of their range goes into the sale come boxing day so that I can pick up some more!

The last decoration I picked up this year was at Harrogate’s Christmas market that I went to with James’ mum and step-sister a few weeks ago. I love visiting Christmas markets not only because it feels so festive but also because you find things that you wouldn’t normally see in high street shops. This cute little wooden cat decoration was just £1 from a lovely little stall and they threw in the personalisation aspect of ‘Nelson’ in for free! I love this little addition to the tree and although it isn’t strictly within our theme I think it still looks really nice on the tree.
