One of my favourite things to do during the festive season is to relax on the sofa in my comfiest clothes with snacks, a warm blanket and Netflix. I think that the festive period can be one of the most hectic and busiest times of the year and it can be really easy to forget to take some time for yourself.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the hustle and bustle of the build up to Christmas but with shopping, card writing, visiting friends and family, a lot of spare time can be taken up and things can become a little exhausting. I think it’s important to take the time to enjoy the little things about Christmas and on Sunday that’s exactly what I did.

If you watched my Vlogmas Day Four YouTube video over on my channel, then you’ll have been aware that on Sunday I had the house to myself for the majority of the day. Although I had boring, must do chores and bits and pieces to get done, I took some time to curl up on the sofa, embrace the festive season and watch my favourite Christmas film; The Grinch.

Christmas Films

Nothing gets me in the mood for Christmas quite like watching Christmas films. I love curling up on the sofa with a hot cup or tea or a cheeky hot chocolate, my cat, a fluffy blanket and sticking something Christmas-y on the telly. It is definitely a very ‘Hygge’ thing for me and I love knowing that I am cosy and warm whilst its cold and blustery outside.

Some of my favourite Christmas films are;

The Grinch
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Home Alone
Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas
Groundhog Day

Loungewear Pieces

One of the best parts about chilling out, snuggling down and watching a Christmas film is the loungewear and fluffy socks that go along with it. I am in love with my Topshop joggers which are the comfiest things to wear in the world. Being a little on the shorter side of life, I especially love that these joggers come in petit sizes which is great as they actually fit me rather than trip me up with a foot of extra material.

I have also been loving this super casual and easy to wear stripped tee from Zara’s Basic range. It was so cheap but feels soft and comfortable in a way that I can eat a whole tub of Quality street or bag of popcorn and not feel the pressure of staring at my humongous food baby.
