October for me marks the start of the Autumnal season. Although I start to embrace my favourite aspects of autumn during September, I sometimes feel as though things are still clinging onto the tail end of summer. October however, feels like autumn has begun and so today I’m feeling pretty excited.

I had a lovely September and got to do some really fun things. One of which was attending London Fashion Week. I have published quite a lot of content here on Madolyn Thinks covering my time at Fashion Week including some Fashion Week Diaries posts, Blogger Expectations Vs Reality and a Fashion Week Capsule Wardrobe Overview. I had an amazing time and I got to spend some quality time with a really close friend of mine whose house I was staying at. It was a brilliant few days, which ended with me celebrating my 26th birthday.

I also had a couple of day trips down to London and across to Manchester. I love exploring new areas of the UK that I have never been too. It really feeds my wanderlust without having to fork out loads of money or hop on a plane to another country.

I’m really excited for October however because I absolutely love everything Autumnal. I love the fashion, the weather, the crisp, chilly mornings, the darker, cosier nights and everything in between.

Some Of My Favourite Autumnal Things

Fashion – ankle boots, woolly jumpers, thick skirts, scarves
Colour Scheme – brown, orange, yellow, burgundy, camel
Hygge – soup, cosiness, evenings in, film sessions, reading books
Drinks – Starbucks Pumpkin Spiced Lattes, hot chocolates, flasks of coffee
Nature – crisp orange leaves, conkers, chilly mornings, darker evenings
Cosiness – candles, blankets, cushions

Not only am I really excited about everything autumnal, but I’ve also got some really exciting things coming up in the month of October. Next weekend James, my brother and I are heading down to London and we’re going on the Harry Potter Studio Tour! I cannot wait and will be sure to share what we get up to, here on Madolyn Thinks. James and I are also going away on holiday in the middle of October for a week in Cyprus. We wanted to get some last minute sunshine before we have to hibernate for winter.

I hope that you have had a lovely September and have an even better October!
