Yesterday I wrote all about my trip to Sephora whilst I was over in New York and the beauty and makeup bits that I picked up while I was there. Today, I thought I would write a quick little post to show you what else I bought whilst I was over in America and Canada that wasn't from Sephora! Again, I will leave links where I can, but I won't go into too much detail about any one item as many will most likely feature in future beauty and fashion posts. I hope you have fun having a look through my purchases!

One of things that I was most looking forward to, when we booked our trip to America, was to go shopping and have a huge Sephora haul. Sephora is a great shop that sells a wide range of beauty products from various high-end and luxury brands. They also sell brands that we don't have over in the UK so I was really excited to try out some new make up and beauty products. I have literally just taken pictures of the products and their packaging for the purpose of this post. I will leave links below for each product I have bought but I won't go into detail describing or explaining what it is as I plan on doing full reviews once I have used them all for a little longer.

Holiday Outfit Look Book | USA and Canada 2015

As you may already know if you follow me on Twitter and Instagram or read Madolyn Thinks, I have recently just got back from an amazing two week holiday with my family. We started off in New York, got a train over to Boston and then flew up to Toronto. I had so much fun and got to do so many incredible things. I am currently in the process of editing lots of videos and bogs posts about my time away, but I thought it might be fun to keep track of a few of my outfits whilst I was away.

So I have compiled a little Holiday Outfit Look Book to show you guys what I wore. It does kind of look a bit same-y but this is because I didn't want to take too much luggage away with me. I had been saving up for months for this trip and I wanted to leave room in my case for anything that I wanted to buy. For this reason I created quite a capsule wardrobe to take with me and only chose items that I knew would go with a number of other items that I was also taking with me. I will leave links where I can and without further ado, here is my Holiday Outfit Look Book!

My First Blogging Event | The Bloggers Festival 2015

A few weeks ago I attended my first ever bloggers event. I received an invitation from Scarlett from Scarlet London asking if I was interested in going down to London for the Bloggers Festival. Living in the north I do tent to feel a little out of the loop, as there seems to be so much more (blogging-wise) happening down in the south. I managed to get some cheap train tickets however and quickly RSVP'd.
I was quite nervous attending the Bloggers Festival on my own, it was a very un-like-me thing to do but my excitement out-weighed my nerves and I didn't want to miss the opportunity. I headed over to the toilet as soon as I arrived at the gorgeous Conrad London St James Hotel, to give myself a last once over and calm down a little bit. Whilst I was in there I got talking to the lovely Heather from 100 Ways To 30 who told me that she had also come alone to the even but had meet up with some other bloggers before hand. She kindly asked if I wanted to join them and in the entrance she introduced me to Ellie from Ellie Ect and Sam from Samantha's Beauty Loves. I am so glad I got to meet these girls as it was so nice to walk around the different stalls with other people and chat about our blogs and get to know each other.

Nearly every stall was holding some sort of Twitter or Instagram competition and so me and Heather took part in the one held by Brodie and Stone.

Bee Good are a wonderfully sweet skincare company which use natural ingredients from bees to create all of their products, from honey to the bee hive itself. It was really interesting talking to the girls on the stall and I received a lovely little hand massage whilst being told all about their busy British bees.

I really want to thank Scarlett again for all of her hard work in organising the event and for giving me the opportunity to attend. I am so glad that I was able to go to the Bloggers Festival. There were so many amazing stalls at the event and it was so cool to be able to talk to the brands directly and get contacts to hopefully build Madolyn Thinks in to something more. It has really given me a huge confident boost and got me really excited and pumped full of ideas for my blog. I can't wait to properly try all of the goodies that I received from all of the different brands, and will be sure to do full reviews of each one soon.
Have you attended any blogging events lately?
